Mike Montgomery
Mike directs our talented team of maintenance technicians, planners, finance professionals, aircraft programs and parts specialists across all Clay Lacy FAA Part 145 repair stations and mobile response teams. He joined Clay Lacy in 2022 bringing 32 years of business and military aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul expertise. He is responsible for overall facility performance, coordination with other business lines, aircraft owners and company leadership on tactical and strategic objectives.
Mike’s three plus decades of aviation maintenance expertise began in St. Louis where he received his FAA airframe and powerplant license prior to joining the United States Navy where he served our country as a helicopter rescue swimmer, crew chief and combat search and rescue crewman. He later served as crew chief on VIP configured Sikorsky Sea King VH-3H transporting high ranking military officials. He also served in several Middle East theaters performing combat missions in the Gulf War.
In 2000 he worked as technician rising to supervisor and then manager of operations for a large MRO in the Midwest before joining Dassault Falcon Jet as director of operations for the company’s Little Rock, AR and Wilmington, DE service centers. He also led Dassault’s Reno, NV service center providing also oversight and coordination of the facilities expansion in 2021.
Mike now leads our FAA repair stations in Van Nuys, CA and Waterbury-Oxford, CT, and mobile response teams in Southern California, Northeastern U.S. and Seattle, WA.
